WHY

IELTS Exams and Preparation – What you need to know?

What are the components on an IELTS?

There are 4 modules that are included in the one IELTS test that you will sit for. There is Writing, Reading, Listening and lastly Speaking.

Prepping for an IELTS test

Some prefer to prep well in advance of their IELTS test. Others book a test first and work backwards by self learning, getting proper training or coaching.

Opting for General or Academic test

Depending on your requirements, you will have to choose which IELTS test to take. If it’s ambiguous to find out by yourself, contact the right entity or body that will guide you. Don’t hesitate at all.

Paper-based test or computer-based

Nowadays, you’ll find that computer-based exams are the only option. This is because it’s easy for the test centres to administrate, and you also get one-skill retake. Results also are received faster (2 to 3 working days)

What's in a good IELTS grade

A decent IELTS grade accepted by many would be at least 6.5. Kindly bear in mind that 4.5, 5.5 and 6.0 are accepted as well. But, if you pass, it’s better to have a good score that is widely trusted.

IELTS exam timings every month

During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was only one or two slots per month, but now there are more than two dates for any given month. About 5 or 6 test dates are available, so feel free to choose.
